Celebrate Recovery

Contact: Joni Bokovoy

Discover the transformative power of Celebrate Recovery®, a Christ-centered discipleship ministry dedicated to helping individuals overcome hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Whether you’re grappling with addictions, co-dependency, anger, pride, unforgiveness, or any other obstacle hindering your relationship with God and others, this program offers a safe and supportive environment for your healing journey.

At Celebrate Recovery®, our goal is to guide you towards becoming the person God intended you to be. Through a combination of the 8 Principles of the Beatitudes and the Biblical 12 Steps of AA, we provide a structured discipleship program that leads to a closer walk with Jesus. As the Holy Spirit works within you, you’ll experience profound transformation and develop a testimony that can inspire and uplift others.

Our ministry is open to anyone seeking freedom from hurts, habits, or hang-ups. Whether you’re personally struggling or need support in helping someone else, Celebrate Recovery® is here for you. We are a non-denominational program rooted in the Bible, originally developed at Saddleback Church to address addiction and co-dependency but now encompassing a wide range of challenges.

Joining Celebrate Recovery® means joining a community committed to growth and renewal. Through weekly large group meetings, featuring uplifting praise singing and powerful lessons or testimonies, you’ll find inspiration and encouragement. Afterward, in gender-specific open-share groups, facilitated discussions allow you to express your thoughts and feelings in a safe space. We also offer issue-specific groups and optional informal gatherings for further connection.

In addition to the main meetings, Celebrate Recovery® offers specialized programs for children (Celebration Place) and junior high/high school students (The Landing). These ministries cater to different age groups, ensuring that everyone in your family can find support and healing.

For deeper personal growth, consider joining our ongoing gender-specific Step Study groups. These confidential and supportive environments guide participants through the 12 Steps/8 Principles over a period of 6-8 months. Led by experienced facilitators, these small groups foster spiritual growth, genuine connection, and true healing from life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits.

By joining Celebrate Recovery®, you embark on a journey of personal healing, spiritual growth, and service to others. Experience the freedom to help yourself and extend a helping hand to those around you. To learn more about Celebrate Recovery® and its various programs, visit www.celebraterecovery.com. Sewing Ministry

Contact: Amber Ruszenas

Embark on a transformative journey of faith and compassion through our Sewing Ministry at [Church Name]. Our dedicated team of artisans joins forces to create exquisite quilts, sized at approximately 60×60 inches, with a profound purpose that touches lives in two remarkable ways. First, during child dedications, we present each child with a unique quilt, bearing a tag that holds a comforting verse from Psalms 4:8, serving as a tangible reminder of their cherished place within our church family. Moreover, our focus extends to prayer quilts, carefully designed with delicate ties symbolizing the power of collective prayer. When someone in need comes to our attention, we create a quilt and invite the entire congregation, regardless of personal acquaintance, to offer prayers of support. Whether the individual’s struggles are physical, mental, or spiritual, our prayer quilts provide a powerful representation of the faith community’s unwavering love. The recipient, in a special ceremony, receives the quilt and can feel the heartfelt prayers woven into its fabric. Our quilts are thoughtfully sized to fit comfortably in various settings, including hospital beds and wheelchairs, demonstrating our commitment to practicality and inclusiveness. We extend the reach of our ministry beyond our church walls, as these remarkable quilts have been sent to individuals across the United States, becoming tangible expressions of compassion and hope. Embrace the extraordinary opportunity to join us in this profound ministry, where every stitch represents love and every quilt becomes a vessel of prayer. Together, let us weave threads of faith and uplift countless lives through the power of our Sewing Ministry.

Women's Ministry

Contact: Marilyn Lazarus

Guided by our mission “To Share the Simple Gospel of Jesus Christ,” the AF Women’s Ministry stands as a beacon of support, guidance, and community for every woman seeking spiritual and emotional strength. Drawing inspiration from Matthew 11:28-30, we welcome every woman, reminding them that in Jesus, burdens are made light.

We’re not a one-size-fits-all ministry. Just as Jesus catered to multitudes, yet intimately guided His twelve disciples, we too celebrate the diversity of our large community, while ensuring every woman finds her unique fit in our smaller, specialized ministries. From nourishing spirituality to addressing diet, lifestyle, effective parenting, and social interaction, our activities are designed to cater to the multifaceted needs of the modern woman.

Our four-step focus is integral to everything we do:

  1. Outreach: Open your heart and step into a world of spiritual rejuvenation.
  2. Community: Bond with like-minded souls, forging relationships that last a lifetime.
  3. Growth: Dive deep into the scriptures, nurturing your relationship with Jesus and the Word of God.
  4. Discipleship: Empower yourself to be a beacon of His teachings, reaching out to others with His message of love and hope.

We’re more than a ministry; we’re a sisterhood. A place where learning from one another strengthens our bond and drives our collective purpose. Embrace this journey with us, for together, we can make a monumental impact, united in faith and purpose. Everyone is welcome; come find your place amongst us!
